So it's been around six months since I last updated this journal. In fact, it appears that I only update it every six months or so, judging by the dates of my previous entries. Not very often, I must admit.

I have been thinking about it lately, and feeling that I should really get more involved in the community aspect of this ol' website, as there is probably something to be gained from it. Only time will tell if i actually go through with that notion, but it is a good notion nonetheless.

As far as pictures go, the most recent at the moment are from a set I took at the old Revolution Mill a little while ago. I have some shots of the mill further back in my gallery, but these ones are probably better. Rotha graciously let me borrow his Canon 20D once again, and I am quite happy with the results. That is truly an excellent camera.

At the moment, I have a Yashica Mat-124 G on loan from the commercial arts teacher at my school. I invested in a few rolls of film, and hope to get some nice results, as I have heard some pretty good things about it. This will be my first experience shooting with a medium format camera, but if any of the shots turn out, I'll be sure to post them.

With any luck, I'll be getting a job after winter break is over, and it will hopefully be able to fund the purchase of a dSLR. I've had my sights set on the Nikon D70/D70s, especially since seeing what can be done with that camera [link] [link]
